MyBlockChainCorner — How to Set an Image and Link
NFT Archeologist Brain Genius found this fantastic 2017 NFT project and it absolutely blew up.
Tons of people visiting the site.
So now you want to put a cool image on your Corner and have it link to your webpage.
Perfect, let’s get it.
DISCLAIMER: Anything you do after this is 100% on you. Any lost funds, NFTs, or other unforeseen consequences are 100% on you. I am not responsible in any way. Turn away if you do not accept 100% responsibility.
Step 1: Go to imgur.com and login
Step 2: Click on your icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen and then select ‘images’
Step 3: Click ‘add images’
Step 4: Upload the image that you want to use.
Step 5: Click on the image.
Step 6: Click ‘Copy’ on the Direct Link button
Step 7: Paste that link where the XXXXXX is in this code:
<a href=YYYYYY" > <img src=”XXXXXX" width=”100%”></a>
So it should look like this (with your link being different): <a href=”YYYYYY" > <img src=”https://i.imgur.com/hGZjlEq.png” width=”100%”></a>
Step 8: Now copy the link you want to use. And paste it to replace the YYYYYY (I’m using my Twitter profile):
<a href=”https://twitter.com/adamamcbride” > <img src=”https://i.imgur.com/hGZjlEq.png” width=”100%”></a>
IMPORTANT: If the image doesn’t show for you, try retyping the quote marks (“ ”) in the code. Because of the way Medium works these sometimes get messed up when copy/pasting.
Step 9: At MyBlockChainCorner click the gear icon and then select ‘Account’
Step 10: Make sure your MetaMask is connected and click ‘list’. This will bring up a list of all of the Corners that you own.
Step 11: Enter the Page, X, and Y numbers of the Corner that you want to change, then click ‘Search’
Step 12: Paste the text from step #8 into the box.
If the image does not show correctly you have done something wrong. Go back and try again.
If the image is good click ‘Set HTML’.
Step 13: Confirm the transaction in MetaMask. WARNING if your gas is more than $40 you have done something wrong. ‘Reject’ the transaction in MetaMask and try again.
